FOODS THAT WHITEN YOUR TEETH NATURALLY

With the popularity of home whitening products, it is clear many of us want to keep our teeth purely white. But our daily cup drinks, wine, and other foods and habits are making it difficult for us.
However, there are some things in nature that naturally help protect to our teeth against decay and discoloration.

Eating crunchy fruits and vegetables
Eating crunchy fruits and vegetables act as a toothbrush. It gently rubs the surface and removes stains, food and bacteria in excess from your mouth. It increases saliva, which is the
best defense of the body against bacteria and plaque buildup.
Apples also contain malic acid, which is a chemical commonly used in teeth whitening products. Fruits and
vegetables with vitamin C also helps kill the bacterium that cause odours and strengthens the gums. Try vegetables like cauliflower, carrots and celery. Cheese and other dairy products.

Dairy products
Dairy products are rich in protein, calcium, phosphorus, lactic acid, which helps fight bacteria in our mouth and make the enamel stronger.

Casein, a type of protein found in dairy products, including cheese, works with calcium and phosphorus to help repair the
enamel. The protein binds to the teeth and prevent acid damage. Hard cheeses, in particular, are good for whitening the teeth. They increase saliva, help eliminate bacteria and food
particles.

Strawberries

Strawberries contain malic acid, a natural astringent that helps remove stains, and vitamin C, which helps fight plaque build-up.
Try this recipe home whitening, crush strawberries,
apply to teeth, leave for five minutes, rinse well and floss.

Leafy Vegetables
Leafy vegetables and other high fiber foods help to rub your teeth with all the chewing and mastication saliva generates.
Enjoy your next bowl of spinach slowly, knowing that
you are also in a mini brushing session.

Pineapple
Pineapple contains an enzyme called bromelain, which is a natural stain remover, and also helps break down plaque.

Basil
Basil has a host of oils and acids that act as an antibiotic, inhibiting the growth of bacteria in the mouth.

Shiitake mushrooms
Shiitake mushrooms contain lentinan, which helps to inhibit the growth of bacteria.

Onions and garlic
Onions and garlic contain thiosulfinates and thiosulfonates that reduce the bacteria that cause tooth decay. Unfortunately, cooking destroys them, so eating it raw is the best.

Salmon
Salmon is not only rich in calcium, which helps repair teeth, but also rich in vitamin D, essential for healthy bones and teeth.

Broccoli
Broccoli contains iron, which forms a barrier that protects tooth enamel from acid.

Gum
Chewing gum is actually a great habit for your teeth (only, not gum with sugar). Chew some gum after a meal to get your saliva flowing and wash bacteria and neutralize acid from
the food you just ate. Saliva also helps prevent stains on your teeth. Look for gum with xylitol - an alcohol that reduces bacteria and prevent plaque.
